A HICAP Community Educator, who is registered with California Department of Aging, provides unbiased information about Medicare benefits and will explain to your community group, employees, and congregants various Medicare topics of your choice.
One-on-One Medicare Counseling
Meet with a HICAP volunteer counselor to understand your Medicare benefits and options without a sales pitch. Are you confused about Medicare and need help navigating your health insurance benefits and don’t know where to begin? Call HICAP to schedule an appointment with a counselor who is registered with California Department of Aging to provide free and unbiased insurance information to you.
Do you need help filling a Medicare appeal or changing your Medicare prescription drug plan? Maybe, you are looking for local resources to help you stay at home or you received a letter from Social Security Administration or Medi-Cal that you don’t understand. Call HICAP for assistance and they will determine whether you need to meet with a HICAP counselor or not.
Until further notice, HICAP of San Mateo County is only offering phone appointments with registered HICAP counselors due to COVID-19. Virtual and in-person presentations are also available.
